In women's magazines and in advertisements, women are almost always shown in the same way - rail thin and in demeaning positions. These images exist because they are profitable, not because they are right or true. In buying from companies that promote this imagery, women are fueling an entire industry that is degrading and harmful to them. If they have the power to fuel an industry, they have the power to stop it. Femme Revolution is dedicated to changing the representation of women in the media. Women deserve to be represented respectfully and with the diversity that is found in real life.
We are not asking too much.
